“Just as queer politics and intersectional feminism aim to dismantle systems of oppression and the patriarchy, a queer architecture must also dismantle historic systems of oppression within architecture, namely the act of designing and building as a tool of dominance over marginalized peoples.” Éloïse Choquette explores in an essay the potential of queer strategies for architecture and demands: “Space should not be measured through its perceived perfection but rather through the glorification of its failures, because design is deeply unpredictable and ultimately flawed, and this should be embraced.” Read her amazing article about queer and queered spaces in the newest issue of archithese.

> In the Weak Materiality issue archithese showed a flaw for materials.

> Diller Scofidio + Renfro have stacked diverse rooms and functions to create the ICA in Boston's harbor.

> With the special issue Architektur, die [fem.], Baukultur ist auch weiblich!, archithese campaigned for more women in leading positions in architecture.
